My paintings have always been inspired by images and articles I save from magazines and periodicals; I file them away until the artwork calls for it. Themes of political satire, entertainment, nature and everyday objects continually pop up in my work. Once I've decided my subject I gather my clippings, collage them together, make some sketches, and figure out the rest as I paint.
